Welcome to our project website

Find out about our plans for a solar scheme that would deliver much needed renewable energy to IBM’s longstanding site in Hursley.

Renewable energy company, Xela Energy (formerly known as ‘Clean Energy Capital’), has received planning permission for a solar scheme on land at Home Farm, which neighbours IBM’s Hursley site. The project will support IBM in its vital transition to renewable energy use – with the energy generated set to save the equivalent of c. 46,000 tonnes of CO2 or planting c. 60,000 trees.

You can find out more about the project here.

About Xela Energy

Clean Energy Capital, now known as ‘Xela Energy’ was founded to give large power users in the UK, such as IBM, direct access to low-cost green energy. Xela Energy is the UK’s leading provider of private wire renewable energy solutions to industrial-scale power consumers – including data centres, industrial manufacturers and blue-chip technology organisations. We manage the entire process – funding, land identification and securitisation, permitting, grid strategy, construction, and long-term operation. More information on Clean Energy Capital can be seen at www.xelaenergy.com.
